Prayer Shawl Ministry
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
– Matthew 7:7
The Prayer Shawl Ministry began here at St. John Vianney in 2005 and is comprised of members who enjoy knitting and/or crocheting shawls and lapghans using their time and talents to provide these items as a reminder of God’s love. A shawl or lapghan can be given to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, a bridal or baby shower gift, friendship and love, personal achievements, or to console those who are grieving, comfort those who are ill, bring hope to those who are in despair. In the past 10 years, we have made and given away almost 1400 shawls!
Next meeting will be Monday, September 24th at 6:30 pm in the SJV Philomena Center.
