The Parish Summer Festival is the major fund raiser for the parish: it is held in July. It is a major undertaking of the parish and involves hundreds of volunteers.

Please pick up a sheet, review the volunteer opportunities available before, during and after the weekend of July 14-16 and return your completed sheet to me in the Parish Office or drop in the collection basket. It takes many hands to make the festival a tremendous success and there are opportunities suitable for people of about any age.
Game Captains are one example of the volunteer opportunities available. Game Captain positions are open for the PLINKO and Chuck-a-Luck games. The responsibility of the game captain is to contact potential volunteers to staff the game during the hours of the festival. The sign-up sheets from last year’s festival will be provided. This is a good starting point for contacts. Game Captains also contact family and friends to staff their game. Game Captains do not have to be onsite for the duration of the festival if all their openings have been filled.
The Festival has been an important part of the life of our parish community for the last 30 plus years. It takes many hands to set up, work the attractions and take down the Festival and to make it the great success that it is. Many of the people doing it have been doing it for all or part of those 30 years.
There are many opportunities to help: core planning, set-up and clean-up, work one of the many attractions, help with food preparation and serve up food orders, provide fresh baked goods for the Bakery Booth and so much more. The festival is a wonderful opportunity to bring the greater community together, to see old friends and meet new friends. If you would like volunteer to help in any capacity contact Maureen Kraizel
